Hello friend.
I’m Kat and I’m passionate about encouraging believers to worship the LORD with their whole being – mind, body, soul, and spirit. This blog is dedicated to exploring how worship can be embodied fully, without false divisions between intellect and emotion or between our physical and spiritual selves.
Rooted in Biblical Christianity, Phenomenal Worship is built upon the first and great commandment, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:30). This commandment is also referenced in Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27. Worship is not just an intellectual pursuit or an emotional experience – it is a holistic response to God’s majesty and His grace through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, worship is compartmentalised. We either over-intellectualise our faith, neglecting the rest of the body, or we over-emphasise physical actions while leaving theology behind. But Scripture calls us to an integrated worship that embraces every part of who we are. This means engaging not only our minds in rich theology but also the rest of our bodies in reverent, joyful, and expressive worship.
Please note: I am not a minister or purporting to teach with authority on these topics, but merely provide comments, musings and thoughts only. I encourage local church attendance and submission to the elders of the church.
Through biblical reflections, practical insights, and encouragement, Phenomenal Worship seeks to inspire you to love and glorify God with the totality of your being. Join me on this journey as we discover what it means to worship God fully – heart, soul, mind, and strength – without division, without hesitation, and with every fibre of our being.
